Eight Iraqi soldiers killed in booby-trapped house
Baquba, Iraq (AFP) Aug 11, 2010
Insurgents lured Iraqi troops into a booby-trapped house early Wednesday, killing eight soldiers in co-ordinated blasts that marked the start of Ramadan when violence typically peaks.
Three other bodies were found under the rubble of the building, but it was not immediately clear if they were of insurgents or civilians, security and medical officials said.

New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra said Wednesday it is "100 percent confident" in its milk supplies to a Chinese company under investigation over claims of tainted milk powder.
Parents and doctors in China's Hubei province have expressed fears that hormones in milk powder produced by Synutra International have caused young girls to develop breasts prematurely.

Sixteen workers died when a fire broke out in a gold mine in east China, state media reported Saturday, in the latest accident to hit the nation's notoriously dangerous mining sector this week.
