Intrusion detection systems from Israel's NICE Systems have been installed at a major oil transshipment port in Poland.

The systems are NICE Situator and NiceVision and are being used by Naftoport as part of a security program that involves integration of previously installed solutions for enhanced incident management and situational awareness.

"Integrating our disparate security systems within NICE Situator has made our security team more efficient, effective, and agile by automating response processes and administration," said Cezary Jozwiak, head of Security at Naftoport. "It gives them a single operating platform through which they can proactively monitor, manage, and maintain the safety and security of the port, reducing risks and improving incident management."

NICE Situator is an automated central interface. It functions with NiceVision intrusion detection analytics, surveillance cameras, radar, intruder and hold up alarms, passive infrared, ACS, GPS and automatic identification systems at the port.

Naftoport transships crude oil and refined oil products in the Port of Gdansk.
