Six dead after plunge in Hong Kong's tallest building
Hong Kong (AFP) Sept 13, 2009
Six workers died on Sunday after plunging 20 floors down a lift shaft in Hong Kong's tallest skyscraper and the fourth tallest building in the world, police and local reports said. A police spokesman said emergency workers called to the International Commerce Centre in Kowloon's popular Tsim Sha Tsui area removed three injured workers, who were all certified dead on arrival at hospital. ... more

    A Turkish textile worker whose minibus was swept away by devastating floods in Istanbul has died in hospital, raising the death toll in the disaster to 35, officials and local media said.
