ALL.SPACE builds up executive team ahead of smart terminal rollout

ALL.SPACE, creator of the world's first smart terminal, has announced the latest in a series of strategic executive team appointments ahead of milestone deliveries of its transformational multi-link connectivity platform to commercial and government customers beginning early this year.

The latest to join the fast-growing ALL.SPACE team is Mark Steel, who was named Executive Vice President of Product and Marketing in December. Steel brings his deep industry expertise in user terminal development and market strategy to ALL.SPACE as the company prepares to hand off the first of its groundbreaking smart terminals to operators and key government customers in the first half of the year. Steel's hire follows several senior executive appointments at the company over recent months.

Steel has over 35 years of experience in the communications sector and is originally from the United Kingdom, where he spent 15 years in the Royal Air Force working on Airfield Navigational aids, including terrestrial microwave links. Steel's satellite industry experience runs deep, with key stints at Inmarsat as Vice President of Product Development and Strategy, and before that as Director for User Terminal Development for the company's Global Express solution.

Prior to Inmarsat, Steel worked as Senior Director of Engineering at Cobham Satcom, where he helped lead the development of a new set of products, focusing on micro terminals, flat panel arrays and solving challenges inherent with comms on the move. Earlier roles include Senior Vice President of Engineering and Director of Operations at SWE-DISH, where he helped the company secure its FCC licence for their small IPT VSAT terminal.

Steel has also been actively involved in the Global VSAT Forums and was a key member of SOMAP working group, as well as Satellite Industry Association and a past board member for the Satellite Innovation Group.
