Astroscale has unveiled a new educational tool called "SPACE PROTECTOR by Astroscale" simulator game. SPACE PROTECTOR is a simulation game where players act as satellite operations engineers, using advanced robotics to capture inactive satellites in a realistic space setting. This game aims to educate players on the pressing issue of space debris.

With over 130 million pieces of debris orbiting Earth and nearly 25% of satellites non-functional, effective debris removal is crucial. Astroscale's Active Debris Removal (ADR) service aims to address these risks and ensure sustainable space activities.

The game offers a simulated mission experience, demonstrating the complexities of orbit maneuvering and capturing inactive satellites with precision robotics. It's designed to raise awareness about space debris and the importance of sustainability in space operations, showcasing Astroscale's technologies and solutions.

"Educating the next generation about space sustainability is crucial for the future of our planet and beyond," said Managing Director of Astroscale UK, Nick Shave. "SPACE PROTECTOR by Astroscale is not only a game; it's a way for people to understand the real technical challenges we face in addressing the space debris problem and provides a view of what will be possible through future routine in-orbit servicing. We're excited to see players enjoy the experience, become passionate about protecting the space environment, and learn why it needs to remain available for future generations."

Astroscale UK continues to develop safe and reliable in-orbit servicing products, fostering innovation and collaboration within the UK and European space industry.
