Boeing has been awarded a contract for mission computing upgrades in support of four Japanese E-767 aircraft and associated ground systems. The deal, announced Monday by the Department of Defense, is valued at more than $60.9 million under a hybrid fixed-price-incentive-firm, firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and cost-plus-incentive-fee contract. The Boeing manufactured E-767 is designed as an Airborne Warning and Control System, or AWACS, aircraft. The aircraft provides Japan with airborne surveillance and command and control capabilities for tactical and air defense forces. Work on the contract will occur in Oklahoma City, Okla., San Antonio, Texas, and Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed by December 2022. More than $56.9 million will be obligated to Boeing at the time of award, the Pentagon said.
Navy awards DynCorp with $40M contract for aircraft support The deal, announced Thursday by the Department of Defense, is valued at more than $40.4 million under the terms indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which is a modification on a previous award contract. The contract provides an option to the Navy for "organizational, selected intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance and logistics services" for the F/A-18 Super Hornet the EA-18G Growler MH-60S Seahawk, F-16A/B Fighting Falcon and E-2C Hawkeye. The aircraft capabilities range from traditional fighter jets and electronic warfare aircraft to helicopter operations and early-warning weather abilities. The aircraft are all assigned to the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center in Fallon, Nev. Work on the contract will occur at the Naval Air Station, and is expected to be completed in January 2019. More than $10.9 million will be obligated to DynCorp International at the time of award contract, which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year, the Pentagon said.
Boeing, AAR, StandardAero win contracts for P-8 support Washington (UPI) Feb 2, 2018 - Multiple defense contractors have been awarded a contract in support of the P-8 Poseidon for the Navy, the government of Australia and foreign military sales customers. The deal, announced Thursday by the Department of Defense, taps Boeing, AAR Aircraft Services Inc. and StandardAero for services valued at more than $268.7 million combined, with each of the three companies competing for individual task orders. The terms of the three contract awards are classified under a firm-fixed-price, time and material, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts for the P-8A airframe, as well as engine maintenance and repair depot support services for the Navy, the government of Australia and foreign military sales customers, the Pentagon said. Additionally, work on the engine will include depot maintenance and repair, with a full spectrum of repair and overhaul services for the P-8A Poseidon engine. The P-8 Poseidon is classified as a Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft and is primarily used for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare operations, along with providing early warning self-protection and electronic support measures. Work on the contract will occur at the respective companies facility sites, and is expected to be complete by January 2019. Funds will be obligated to the companies as they are sent work orders.
Lockheed awarded contract for Taiwan F-16 program support Washington (UPI) Feb 2, 2018 Lockheed Martin has been awarded a contract for foreign military sales in support of the Taiwan F-16 Peace Phoenix Rising program. The deal, announced Thursday by the Department of Defense, is valued at more than $13.3 million under a cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to a previous award contract.
