Adding to a long list of award wins - three of which have occurred this year - DEK Solar was honored with the Photovoltaic Equipment Innovation Award at last week's China International Photovoltaic (PV) Industry Innovation Technology Conference in Beijing.

Winning for its Apollo and Eclipse metallization platforms, as well as its Fine Line Stencil technology, DEK Solar was again recognized for the company's significant contributions to advancing modern solar cell manufacturing processes.

Adjudicated by members of the PV media and PV associations, the awards program selects winners based on three specific criteria. The companies that top each category must demonstrate innovation, have a significant influence on the solar industry and be a driving force for enhancing competitiveness. For the Photovoltaic Equipment Innovation category, DEK Solar emerged as the winner, convincingly meeting or exceeding the defined metrics.

"We are very honored to have been chosen as the leader in this category among such a distinguished group of participants," comments Brian Lau, DEK Solar's Director.

"This award is further confirmation of DEK Solar's commitment to ongoing innovation and the development of enabling technologies to make solar power more affordable, efficient and accessible. This is our driving force and we are proud to play a role in the growth of alternative energy technologies."

DEK Solar is unique among metallization equipment specialists in that the company provides an extraordinarily holistic approach to cell metallization processes. Informed by decades of printing expertise, the company combines its state-of-the-art, precision platforms with a deep understanding of material behavior and stencil and screen performance.

These distinctive capabilities have led to the development of some of the industry's highest cell efficiencies at the lowest material costs - all driven by DEK Solar's comprehensive print process knowledge.

"Winning awards such as this Equipment Innovation Award underscores the important work we are carrying out on a daily basis with leading global solar cell manufacturers and industry partners," says Lau in summary.

"We extend our sincere appreciation to the China International Photovoltaic Industry Innovation Technology Conference for organizing this important industry event and to the judging panel for so aptly acknowledging DEK Solar's innovative leadership."
