South Korea's Yonhap news agency, quoting a report from the US Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University, says satellite images indicate the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has re-constructed its Tongchang-ri missile launch site.

There's speculation that the DPRK may be preparing the site for a more robust rocket test program in the future, which could involve larger space launch vehicles and road-mobile ballistic missiles. But the report added that the pad will not be available for launches until March or April this year at the earliest due to construction.

Meanwhile, a South Korean military official says the DPRK had showed no signs of unusual military movements by Thursday during its winter military drills.
