by Ryan Maass
Haifa, Israel (UPI) Jan 20, 2016

Elbit Systems has received a contract to provide its CyberShield cybersecurity trainer to an Asia-Pacific country.

The CyberShield training system is a simulator designed to train users to respond to cyber attacks. The system features high-fidelity virtual defense training, and can simulate multiple cyber attack scenarios.

"We are encouraged by this contract award from a customer in Asia Pacific," Elbit's CYBERBIT general manager Adi Dar said in a statement. "The cyber threat is constantly increasing, bearing much potential impact on national infrastructures. I am pleased that we can contribute and improve the capabilities of governments to prepare and face this imminent and exponentially growing threat."

CyberShield is adjustable, and can simulate a diverse range of networks from small or medium-sized businesses to larger enterprises or government networks. Simulations include attacks on IT networks as well as industrial control networks used in most utilities.
