ICEYE, a global leader in synthetic aperture radar satellite data, and EMIS, a Slovakia-based geospatial systems provider, have announced a collaboration to deliver rapid flood intelligence to Slovak authorities. ICEYE's satellite-driven flood monitoring will be integrated into EMIS's central geospatial hub, giving ministries and local governments access to near real-time hazard data within their current workflows.

Slovak officials will benefit from ICEYE's continuous, all-weather disaster response capabilities, enabling prompt tracking of floods and fires. This system addresses a critical need for hours-not-days situational awareness.

The new data layer will be seamlessly accessible via EMIS's national GIS platform, aligned with government technology standards and requiring no changes to existing systems or additional training.

Agencies including the Ministries of Interior, Defence, and Transport, plus the National Centre of Forests, will be equipped with timely intelligence for community safety and infrastructure planning. This partnership positions Slovakia as an Eastern European leader in the use of synthetic aperture radar-based hazard intelligence at national scale.

"Incorporating ICEYE's satellite capabilities into EMIS's robust platform delivers essential support for Slovak authorities to respond more swiftly to natural hazards," said Jeffrey Apeldoorn, ICEYE's Head of Government Solutions, Europe. "Authorities gain always-on monitoring, helping strengthen resilience nationwide."

Miroslav Vanek, CEO of EMIS, stated, "We anticipate that working with ICEYE will bring advanced monitoring solutions to Slovakia. Integrating ICEYE's rapid hazard intelligence will greatly expand the value EMIS provides users and partners."
