Google says the Street View feature of its Google Maps has now moved into 50 countries, racking up more than 5 million miles of roadway.

Launched in 2007 in five cities in the United States, the service reached a 50-country milestone with the addition of Hungary and Lesotho, SlashGear reported Tuesday.

Street View coverage has been expanded in Poland and Romania as well as "other locations around the world," Google announced.

The Internet search giant said the latest update is the "largest single update of Street View imagery" it has released and includes new and updated imagery for "nearly 350,000 miles of roads across 14 countries."

Countries receiving updates include France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russia, Singapore and Thailand.
