CACI continues support services for new Army intel system
Arlington, Va. (UPI) Nov 11, 2015 - CACI has been given a prime U.S. Army contract to continue support of testing for the TROJAN NexGen systems for intelligence collection and dissemination.

The exact value of the multi-million dollar award from the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center was not given.

"CACI's support for the TROJAN program will help the U.S. Army meet the complex intelligence requirements of today's deployed forces," said John Mengucci, CACI's chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations.

CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury added, "CACI is proud to offer solutions for national security missions that protect our servicemen and women and provide a decisive battlefield edge."

Additional details of the award and company work on TROJAN were not disclosed.

Meggitt Training Systems is launching a new virtual reality solution later this month for small arms training for U.S. and allied forces.

The system is called the FATS100e, an enhancement of its FATS100 system.

The advanced FATS100e features Crytek-based 3D lanes, automatic coaching and VBS3-based collective training.

Meggitt said the 3D lanes provide visually realistic and highly detailed terrains and targets, including weather and visual effects such as wind-blown environments, birds in flight, dirt splashes and explosions.

It also provides weapon-handling and shot-placement analytics, coaching tools that automatically highlight trainee results and enhanced graphic capabilities.

"Meggitt's introduction of the FATS100e demonstrates our continued investment in virtual reality solutions," said Phyllis Pearce, senior vice president of strategy, sales and marketing, Meggitt Training Systems. "Attendees at I/ITSEC will be the first to experience the next-generation FATS100e, and we're confident our virtual training solutions will continue to play a vital role in the mission success of defense forces around the world."

I/ITSEC is the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, Fla., where the new system will be unveiled.
