East River Rigging (ER2) is combining Industrial Rope Access with expert technicians to provide cleaning, inspection, maintenance and repair services to the Northeast wind industry.

As one of the only industrial rigging and rope access companies in the Northeast, ER2 is actively involved in servicing the major wind farms in New York Connecticut, Maine and southern Canada. Their Brooklyn location reduces response time and cuts down mobilization costs.

ER2 technicians provide composite repair and long term maintenance on nacelle, tower and wind turbine blades.

Turbine blades can be damaged or degraded over time by a variety of factors including dirt, freezing temperatures, vibrations, UV rays and even insects. Lightning strikes and icing can also lead to serious damage and reduction in productivity.

ER2 recently attended the nation's largest energy show in Dallas, TX, entitled Windpower2010 and sponsored by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).

Over 20,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors from the wind industry participated in the conference and exhibition. ER2 also participated in the 2010 AWEA North American Offshore Wind Conference and Exhibition in Atlantic City, NJ.
