SES Appoints New Commercial Head For Europe
by Staff Writers
Luxembourg (SPX) Dec 07, 2011

Ferenc Szelenyi.

SES has announced the appointment of Ferenc Szelenyi as its new Senior Vice President Commercial Europe for SES. He succeeds Norbert Holzle in this function, who has decided to leave SES.

Ferenc will be heading the European sales force of SES, which includes the Western and Central European key markets, the Nordics and Baltics, Eastern and Southern Europe, as well as Russia, Ukraine and Turkey. Ferenc will start his new job on 1st January 2012 and report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of SES, Ferdinand Kayser.

Ferenc Szelenyi has held management positions in major international corporations in the information and communication technology sector and has more than 20 years of experience in key sales and marketing functions in telecommunications, IT and consulting companies.

Holding degrees from the universities of Linz (Austria) and Bocconi (Italy), he worked in major international business positions at Dell, T-Systems, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KarstadtQuelle and IBM, mainly in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

"We are pleased that Ferenc now joins SES to lead our important European markets", says CCO Ferdinand Kayser.

"These markets are extremely well-developed and demand from us a strong focus on very diverse customers in the different countries and on their strategic growth, especially in the dynamic Eastern European markets. We wish Ferenc well for this exciting job and look forward to further developing our business with him, together with our customers."

"Norbert has decided to leave us after a couple of successful years with SES," continues Ferdinand Kayser.

"As CEO of the company NDSatCom, in which SES used to have a majority shareholding, he was instrumental in developing an important new sector, the governments and institutions services, and successfully restructured the company.

As Chief Commercial Officer of SES ASTRA and as Senior Vice President Commercial Europe of SES, he reorganized our sales department and successfully focused it on our long-term business stability and on further growth in the European markets. We wish Norbert all the best for his future."
