Umbra, a leader in space technology and remote sensing, has unveiled a new business line dedicated to delivering operational Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite missions to clients seeking their own orbital SAR capabilities.

Umbra's Mission Solutions leverages its expertise in vertical integration and remote sensing to provide tailored satellite solutions. Governments and large multinational corporations can now acquire complete satellite systems, including the bus, payload, and antenna, or opt for full constellations featuring Umbra's formation flying technology. Umbra also offers ground and flight software, alongside custom and advanced mission capabilities.

These offerings come at competitive prices with accelerated timelines. The Mission Solutions line includes flexible ownership models, such as full handoff to customers, customer-owned but Umbra-operated, and Umbra-owned with cost-sharing options that ensure guaranteed customer access.

Umbra's satellites produce the highest volume of high-resolution SAR imagery in regions of highest demand, capturing seven times more imagery at superior resolution than any commercial competitor. This data provides timely insights and actionable intelligence whenever required.

"I'm honored to say we have built both the world's most capable and affordable commercial SAR satellite. In the past few years, we've seen the mission-critical value our technology brings to customers, and the demand signal is loud and clear," said David Langan, CEO and Co-founder of Umbra. "We are proud to offer our unique mission solutions to our U.S. and global partners, including our NATO allies, whom we are already supporting proudly with our Remote Sensing business line."

Since its founding in 2015, Umbra has emerged as a pioneer in remote sensing. The company's innovative SAR imaging and patented satellite technology enable all-weather, day-and-night monitoring, setting new benchmarks for reliability, precision, and intelligence gathering.
